CBS News-The iCAST

Have you ever listened to the CBS Radio News at the top of the hour and thought to yourself--man why does this have to be so stuffy? The folks at CBS realize this and have put out an awesome new podcast to deliver news in a fresh new way that I honestly really enjoy.

Here's the official description sent out to stations..

CBS News Correspondent Chris Mavridis launches a newscast
specifically designed as a podcast. 'iCAST' headlines the day's news
with sound, music and a unique writing style aimed for an audience who might not get its news from conventional sources.

Fish with human teeth! Freaky yet fascinating!

On Tuesday afternoon, Scott Curry was fishing in Lubbock, Texas, when he caught an 18-pound fish.

--What kind of fish is it??? No one has any clue.

--All we know is that it's STRAIGHT-UP FREAKY. . . because this fish has a set of HUMAN-LIKE TEETH in its mouth. (looks like that fish could use a good flossing too!)

(ABC 28 - Lubbock)

When your name was most popular!

Wanna see if your parents were just SHEEPLE who gave you whatever the cool name-of-the-moment was??? Now you can.

--There's a website called babynamewizard.com. . . where you type in your name. . . and it pulls up a graph that shows how popular your name's been from 1880 to 2005. (iVillage)

Here's Guam's Congresswoman Madeleine Z. Bordallo (left) right before talking up Guam Supreme Court Justice Frances Tydinco-Gatewood (right) to the United States Senate Committee on the Judiciary.

President Bush nominated Justice Gatewood to be the United States District Judge for the District of Guam. If confirmed she's be the first female Chamorro Judge ever to sit as a Federal Judge!

Tubal Pregnancy

July 25th 1978-a freaky thing happened: Louise Brown was born! Okay Louise herself isn't that freaky, but she was the very first test tube baby! Her parents were the first to use In vitro fertilization (egg fertilized outside mom's body in a test tube!) Anyhow Louise is 27 years old now and pregnant! Just incase you're curious Louise and her hubby Wesley conceived the old fashioned way (look mom--no test tubes!) Here's what Louise looks like today!

Independence Day on Guam w/Starship!

Check it out-Mickey Thomas and Starship play at Polaris Point on Guam for the July 4th Celebration. Pretty good too...band was tight and Mickey Thomas still can sing all the Starship standards...plus as a special bonus he sang "Fooled around and Fell in Love" from his days with Elvin Bishop. Missed first couple of songs standing in long food lines...and there was no big announcement that they had taken the stage. Honestly, for their first couple of songs they sounded like a good cover band doing Starship tunes...but they finished strong with biggest hit "We built this City" cheesy yes-but the crowd loved 'em. Thanks fellas!
