Mayor Speedo

Recently the Mayor of Piti Ben Gumataotao -ran afoul of the the GPD by attempting to pull over motorists speeding through the village of Piti. After the Mayor was cited by the police for reckless driving, Guam's Attorney General Doug Moylan defended the Mayor's right to go after speeders pointing to a section of local law that recognizes island mayors as bona fide peace officers. Just before lunch I had the occasion to catch a glimpse of the Mayor's vehicle parked outside a popular Hagatna nightclub. I'm sure he had official businesses somewhere else in the complex, but it really makes for a great photo don't u think?
